In Malayalam, Kerala means: 'The Land of Coconut Trees'. It is also called 'The Residence of God' due to its incredible beauty. Kerala is also the cradle of Ayurveda, which originated over 5,000 years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originating in the Indian tradition, Ayurvedic medicine is considered to be the oldest holistic medicine in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE AYURVEDIC ART OF LIVING Ayurvedic medicine involves treating the patient, not the disease. After a personalised Ayurvedic assessment, the practitioner determines the type of treatment to be used. Based on dietetics, phytotherapy, ayurvedic massage, meditation, breathing, yoga or chanting, it aims to restore and maintain the balance between your body and your mind...<\/span><\/p>\n

This trip is dedicated to well-being. It's a mix of yoga practice, learning and discoveries in the surrounding area, which will allow us to immerse ourselves in Indian life. You'll stay at Maithrimandir Homestays for the duration of your stay, enjoying morning yoga classes, study and practice time, and local cultural and\/or nature outings to discover local life and customs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why this Ayurvedic cure?<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
For the 10th anniversary of the Shakti association, we're breaking away from our weekly sessions... and heading off to India to practise! During this trip, I'm putting myself at your service by accompanying you on this Ayurvedic rejuvenation cure. I want you to experience the benefits of practising yoga twice a day, combined with the virtues of the Ayurvedic cure, and enriched by meeting an authentic yogi master in his own ashram.<\/span><\/div>\n
What am I?<\/strong><\/span>
\nI'm Vanessa BRAULT, 52, a sports educator for 30 years (gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, Pilates, climbing, etc.), an avid yoga practitioner for 25 years and a teacher for 15 years. I pass on the benefits of this liberating and transformative practice with love and kindness. Trained by various guides in France, Switzerland, India and the Philippines, I am also :<\/span>
