Transfer to your host family via San Agustín (approx. 1h15 drive).
Welcome by Consuelo and Dagoberto. Settle into your room and have lunch with the family.
The finca is nestled in the middle of a sugar cane plantation and a huge garden where coffee, flowers and vegetables of all kinds grow. In the afternoon, Consuelo and Dagoberto will be delighted to give you a tour of their little corner of paradise, which they lovingly cultivate and maintain.

In the morning, drive to Armando and his family's "fincacampesina" (farm). Owner's tour through the coffee, sugar cane and tomato plantations.

Back at the finca, the family makes a "revuelto de yuca", a traditional dessert of the region. Typical lunch, followed by a tasting of YOUR desert!
In the afternoon, visit San Agustín Archaeological Park. Hike along a path that takes you to three different platforms known as "MESITAS".

In the morning, hike to different sites in the region: El Tablon and La Chaquira, where you will admire 5 sculptures of different origins, located on the edge of the Magdalena river canyon with these impressive sculptures carved facing the canyon.

In the afternoon, we continue our exploration of San Agustín, passing through the Estrecho strait of the Magdalena between the 2 cordilleras, the central and western, before visiting a banana fibre weaving workshop. Finally, we head for the village of Obando and its museum of underground tombs and antechambers.

Morning drive to Popayán (approx. 4h30).
In the afternoon, explore Popayán, the "White City", on foot. It is so called because of its many whitewashed facades. The very embodiment of colonial charm, with its old-fashioned alleyways, wrought-iron balconies and pretty cobbled squares.

Day's drive to Salento (7 hours' drive).

Check-in at the hotel in the late afternoon. Meals on your own. Overnight at a 3-star hotel.

Accompanied by your local English-speaking guide and after a rustic breakfast en route in a typical finca, the Carbonera will be the starting point for your 16-kilometre walk to Salento.

You'll take paths that have been diverted from the old road, in the middle of the countryside. The route is all downhill, with no particular difficulty. Picnic lunch.

Back in Salento, meet Pedro who will take you to the nature reserve where he lives with his family and where he will welcome you for dinner and the night.

We invite you to experience coffee growing in a different way with Pedro, a grower and producer who welcomes you to his finca in a very family atmosphere. He will be delighted to share with you his totally ecological lifestyle in the midst of this exuberant natural environment. In the morning, you'll visit Santiago and its cultures of many colours and flavours. Tasty and unusual experiences await you! Pass through the craft town of Filandia, with its typically colonial architecture and its reputation for basketry.

The morning is devoted to a visit to beautiful Cartagena and its most emblematic districts... Relive the high points in the history of this mythical city! En route, stop off at a dance school for an introduction to the "Champeta" and sample some typical Costa Rican dishes.

Introduction to crab fishing with the fishermen of La Boquilla, an Afro-Carthaginian village 20 minutes from the centre of Cartagena.

Spend a morning discovering the secrets of traditional canoe fishing in the mangroves. Lunch with the fishermen.
