Tokyo National Museum
The Tokyo National Museum is located in the heart of Ueno Park.

archaeological finds dating back to the first centuries AD: pottery, figurines, bronze bells, fish hooks, etc.

Senso-ji/Asakusa
The Asakusa district, which stretches along the river Sumida, offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of the
Popular Tokyo, where the spirit of the old Edo still lives on. The Sensō-ji, the oldest temple in Tokyo, was built
in 645 and is dedicated to Kannon, bodhisattva of mercy. Its entrance is guarded by the Kaminarimon, or
Thunder Gate, the symbol of Asakusa with its lantern and statues. Just behind it, the Nakamise-dōri archway
is lined with traditional shops selling kimonos, dolls and combs,

Meiji jingu
The Meiji-jingū is the imperial sanctuary that is very dear to the hearts of the people.

In the 17th century, Kanazawa was one of the powerful feudal cities of the
Japan, for its wealth, the influence of its arts and its large population. Like Kyoto, it was spared the

A small town in the mountains, Takayama, with its old wooden houses, craft shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, is the perfect place to visit.
Antique shops, art galleries and sake breweries all retain their old-world charm. A destination to

* San-machi Suji The centre of Takayama's old town is a lively place. The three main streets of
