Laos has a succession of dry and rainy seasons.
Between April and October, the monsoon brings heavy rains, especially in the South, sometimes making some roads impassable, with heat peaks in April and May (between 30 and 35°C). From July to September, the rains are more spaced out but the heat wave remains.
November to March is the dry season: less humidity and bearable temperatures, subject to altitude. It can even freeze at night in the northern mountains!

Our opinion

Although Laos is attracting more and more travellers, it remains totally different because the ancestral culture of this long isolated people is omnipresent.
