Climate and equipment

In Hoedspruit, summers (December to March) are hot, humid, rainy and partly cloudy and winters (June to August) are short, cool, dry and clear. Over the course of the year, the temperature generally ranges from 11°C to 29°C and is rarely below 8°C or above 34°C.

Health

Recommended vaccinations: hepatitis A, B, rabies and typhoid.
Anti-malarial treatment recommended.
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers coming from countries where there is a risk of yellow fever transmission and for travellers who have been in transit for more than 12 hours at an airport in a country where there is a risk of yellow fever transmission.
