In the heart of Aragon, Éric and Cyrine welcome you for a complete break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This haven of peace, with its natural rhythms, is a real breath of fresh air. Supplied with spring water and solar-generated electricity, this magnificent Aragonese house brings well-being and serenity. As well as the kindness of your hosts and guides, the meals prepared with love are sure to be delicious moments to share. This precious connection with nature can be experienced both on hikes through the secret landscapes of this part of the Sierra des Guara, where scrubland and the clear waters of the rios mingle, and during morning and evening yoga sessions.

Day 1

Pau - San Urbez

Pau - San Urbez

At 9am in front of Pau station (64). Dress in hiking clothes, with your rucksack ready, water in your flask and hiking boots to hand.
Welcome and transfer to San Urbez, a veritable "end of the world" nestling in the northern part of the Sierra de Guara. Discovery of the refuge and first walk through the cuello Baye, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Walking time: 3 hrs. Height difference: + 250m / - 250m. Transfer time: 3 hours.

Day 2

Avellada

Avellada

Wake up to yoga in front of the Tozal de Guara. From the refuge, hike to the abandoned village of Avellada. On the way down, we'll take time to enjoy the beautiful, refreshing pools. Yoga and dinner.
Walking time: 3 hrs. Difference in altitude: + 250m / - 250m.

Day 3

Nocito - Brazo del Mar - Billionaires' pool

Nocito - Brazo del Mar - Billionaires' pool

Wake-up call and yoga. Hike through the village of Nocito below our accommodation, then up the barranco de la Pillera to the brazo del mar waterfall. The setting is idyllic and we'll take advantage of the opportunity to have a picnic. We then climb back up to the Barranco del Collado and its famous "Billionaires' Pool"! Yoga on the way back and dinner.

Day 4

Bara - Binueste - Biban - Hollywood swimming pool

Bara - Binueste - Biban - Hollywood swimming pool

The day begins with the now customary yoga session. After a transfer to the village of Bara, we set off on a beautiful loop to Binueste Biban. There are two natural pools where you can take a dip, one of which is the  "Hollywood Pool. Yoga session on the way back.
Walking time: 3 hrs. Height difference: + 250m / - 250m. Transfer time: 1 hour.

Day 5

San Urbez

San Urbez

Wake up early and take a short walk to welcome the first light of day in the heart of nature. Yoga under the rays of the rising sun. Back at the refuge, breakfast awaits us on the terrace. The rest of the morning is free to take full advantage of the surroundings. We'll then make our way towards San Urbez to the sound of cicadas, between scrubland and streams. Yoga on the return journey and dinner.
Walking time: 2 hours. Difference in altitude: +200m / -200m.

Day 6

Ibirque - Guatizalema - Nocito

Ibirque - Guatizalema - Nocito

Wake up to yoga. Leave the accommodation along old paths through the forest. The view opens up to the immense Ibirque plateau and the Pyrenees to the north. We descend through ancient pardinas and terraced fields half-covered by vegetation. We'll be sure to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Guatizalema barranco before reaching Nocito and then San Urbez. Yoga on the return journey and dinner.

Day 7

San Urbez- Pau

San Urbez- Pau

Wake up for the last time in this peaceful setting and transfer back to France after breakfast.
End of your stay.
Transfer time: 3 hours.

PORTAGE

You will only carry your belongings for the day.

ACCOMMODATION

In a friendly, warmly decorated stopover gîte, with library and sitting area. Nights in dormitories sleeping 4 to 8. Shared showers and toilets. Sheets, blankets, pillows and pillowcases are provided. You will need to bring a light sheet or sleeping bag and your toiletries.

MEAL

Breakfast and dinner will be taken at the accommodation, either on the terrace facing the Tozal or indoors. We'll take a picnic lunch with us. Meals are prepared with the greatest care using local produce and/or produce from sustainable agriculture.

MOVEMENTS

In exceptional circumstances, we may ask you to use your own vehicle a few days or weeks before departure, in return for a fixed fee.
Of course, you are under no obligation to accept this offer, but you should be aware that the people being transported and the vehicle being used will be fully insured by us.

Climate and equipment

LUGGAGE

For your stay, please bring :

  • 1 travel bag per person (or suitcase on wheels). Do not take too much luggage to avoid problems with bus congestion and logistics.

On itinerant or semi-itinerant trips, also limit the weight to 10-12 kgs, as difficult access to some accommodation could compromise the delivery of luggage.
Avoid leaving fragile and/or valuable items in the car.

  • 1 rucksack, approx. 35-40 litres, with waist belt and a well-ventilated back for your comfort

THE CLOTHES

Clothing and equipment to bring with you should be adapted according to the season

  • 1 hat, or cap, or scarf
  • 1 hat, or fleece headband and/or a neckband
  • 1 pair of thin gloves
  • breathable short-sleeved T-shirts (1 every 2-3 days) and 1 or 2 long-sleeved T-shirts
  • 1 warm fleece jacket (or even a water-repellent "softshell" type) or "primaloft" type (warm and compressible)
  • 1 waterproof and breathable "gore-tex" type windproof jacket with hood
  • 1 pair of sturdy, water-repellent trekking trousers
  • 1 comfortable, sturdy pair of shorts or 3/4 length shorts
  • underwear
  • 1 swimming costume and 1 quick-drying towel (optional for swimming)
  • synthetic and/or woollen hiking socks (at least 1 pair every 2 days) with buckles
  • 1 pair of waterproof hiking boots with good ankle support and Vibram soles. Must be tested before your stay.
  • or, if you're used to them, a pair of low trail-type shoes.
  • 1 pair of gaiters (optional)
  • comfortable clothes and shoes for the evening
  • TAKE-AWAY EQUIPMENT

    • 1 large plastic bag to slip into your rucksack to protect your belongings from the elements and/or 1 over-bag
    • 1 waterproof folder containing: your assistance contract, identity papers, health insurance card and any other documents mentioned in the formalities section
    • 1 sturdy, lightweight umbrella (very useful in case of rain... or heatwave!)
    • 1 pair of sticks (optional)
    • 1 pair of good quality sunglasses (level 3 protection) with good side coverage + sun cream with a good sun protection factor and a lip shield (all in the rucksack)
    • 1 isothermal or aluminium water bottle (minimum 1.5 litres) or a soft water bottle such as Platypus (not recommended in winter) or a filtering water bottle (such as Lifestraw®, Katadyn MyBottle®, Life Saver®...).
    • 1 small 50 cl thermos flask (optional and especially useful in winter if you want to bring tea, coffee...)
    • 1 plastic or aluminium cup with insulated handle
    • 1 folding pocket knife (Opinel type)
    • for picnics: cutlery and 1 plastic can (minimum 0.5 litre) such as Tuperwear (essential even if it may not be used)
    • toiletries
    • Earplugs or Ear plugs (to protect against neighbourhood snoring or other noise pollution)
    • handkerchiefs
    • toilet paper
    • 1 lighter (be careful not to cause a fire; use only when necessary and with maximum caution)
    • 1 headlamp or torch + survival blanket: always carry this in your rucksack, as an unforeseen delay due to an incident can happen even on an easy hike.
    • spare glasses (if you wear prescription glasses)
    • camera, binoculars, painting equipment... (optional)

  • The daily practice of exercises. The path of Hatha Yoga brings together the knowledge and experience acquired through practice since the 8th century AD.
